What Working Here Looks Like
We are based in Briardene, Durban North and spend our days making, fitting and maintaining signs for businesses across eThekwini, Umhlanga, Pinetown and the KZN North Coast. The work changes from one site to the next, so you need to be comfortable with early starts, ladders, tools, measurements and a fair amount of problem solving.
Our team handles everything from site surveys and artwork setup to vinyl cutting, large format printing, sign fabrication, window installation and shopfront fitting. That means each role has a clear part in the job, and good communication matters as much as technical skill.
The Roles We Commonly Hire For
We do not publish a fixed vacancy list here, but we regularly look for people in production, design, sales and installations. Some days need careful finishing work in the workshop, other days need fast, neat work on site in heat, wind or wet weather, so flexibility helps.
- Sign makers and production staff for cutting, finishing and assembling signs
- Installers for windows, vehicles, shopfronts and freestanding signs
- Graphic design support for artwork setup and print files
- Sales and client support for enquiries, quotes and job follow-up
- Maintenance and refurbishment support for repairs, removals and site visits
Skills That Help You Fit In
We value people who take pride in neat work and can keep a site tidy. If you understand measurements, materials and the need to get things right first time, you will settle in well. Experience in signage helps, but attitude and reliability count a lot too.
- Good attention to detail and steady hands
- Basic maths for sizes, spacing and material use
- Ability to work safely at height and around traffic
- Clear communication with colleagues and clients
- Willingness to learn new materials, fixing methods and install procedures
Coastal humidity, sun exposure and load-shedding can affect materials and turnaround times, so practical thinking is part of the job every day. A person who notices small issues early usually becomes very valuable to the team.
How We Work As A Team
Our team includes Bongani Patrick Zulu as Managing Director, Nokuthula Mkhize in operations, Sashen Naidoo in production, Anele Dlamini leading installations, Priya Govender in design and Lindokuhle Khumalo on sales. Each person has a clear responsibility, and that helps jobs move smoothly from enquiry to final fitting.
We keep things straightforward, with respect for deadlines, site rules and the customer’s premises. If a client needs a sign fitted after hours, or a replacement during trade hours, the team has to plan around access, security and municipal by-laws where needed. That sort of work suits people who can stay calm and organised.
How To Apply With Your CV
If you would like to work with us, send your CV through the enquiry form on our contact page and mention the type of work you are looking for. Add a short note about your experience, the area you are based in, and whether you are interested in workshop, design, sales or installation work.
Please include any relevant training, tools experience, drivers licence details and your availability. If you have worked on signs before, say what kind, whether it was vinyl, light boxes, Chromadek, Perspex, ABS or window frosting. That helps us see where you may fit best.
Why People Stay With Us
People tend to stay when they like the variety and can see the result of their work on roads, shopfronts and vehicles across Durban. One week might mean a light box for a retail site, the next a set of roll-up banners or a full shopfront change, so there is usually something different on the go.
We also value steady growth. When someone shows initiative, keeps standards high and works well with the rest of the team, we notice. Good people are hard to find, and we would rather build a solid crew than rush it.
- Hands-on work with visible results
- Exposure to different sign types and install conditions
- A team that values neat finishing and safe working
- Opportunities to learn across production and site work
