How to log a follow-up request
Use the enquiry form on our contact page and tell us what needs attention. The more detail you give, the quicker we can check the job against the original artwork, site notes and installation record.
Include the site name, suburb, sign type and a brief note on the fault. If the issue started after heavy rain, strong wind or a power cut, mention that too because it helps us narrow down the cause. A loose panel, faded print, flickering light box or lifted vinyl all need slightly different attention.
- State the suburb and exact location on site
- Describe the sign type and size if you know it
- Attach clear photos taken in daylight
- Say when the issue started and whether it is getting worse
What happens after we receive your message
Once your request comes in, our team checks the job details and assigns it to the right person. Bongani Patrick Zulu oversees the response, while our operations and production team look at what is needed for a repair, reprint or site visit.
We may ask a few follow-up questions before we set the next step. For example, a sign in Briardene may only need a minor fix, while a shopfront in Ballito might need a remeasure, new fittings and a return visit after trading hours. We work this way so the site is not disrupted more than necessary.
- We match the issue to the original installation or fabrication record
- We check if a site visit is needed before any work is carried out
- We confirm whether the fix is on-site, in workshop or both
- We give you a practical next step, not vague promises
Updates on open jobs and turnaround times
If you simply want an update, you can send the enquiry form with the job reference or the name used on the original order. We will let you know where things stand, whether artwork approval is pending, materials are in production or an installer is being scheduled.
Turnaround depends on the work involved. A small vinyl adjustment is quicker than a full shopfront panel replacement or a light box fault that needs testing. During busy periods, especially after load-shedding or storm damage, we may need to sequence repairs by route so teams can cover Durban North, Umhlanga, Pinetown and surrounding areas efficiently.
- Simple follow-ups are usually handled faster than full refurbishments
- Lighting faults may need testing on site after hours
- Weather damage can change the order of visits in a week
- We keep communication direct and practical
When a maintenance visit is the right call
Some signs need more than a quick repair note. If you have recurring fading, water ingress, peeling film, cracked Perspex or a tired fascia that is starting to show its age, a maintenance visit is usually the better option. That lets us inspect the full sign, not only the visible fault.
Maintenance visits are useful for retail centres, offices and busy road-facing sites where signs take a beating from sun, coastal humidity and daily traffic. On the coast, even a neat sign can start to lift or discolour sooner than expected, so a scheduled check can save you from bigger repairs later.
- Signs that have been hit by wind or rain
- Light boxes with uneven illumination or dead sections
- Window frosting or contra-vision film lifting at the edges
- Vehicle graphics that need trimming, re-securing or replacement
Kinds of follow-up work we handle
Our support covers the sign types we make and install across the region. That includes vinyl cutting, digital print work, Chromadek panels, Perspex and ABS signs, roll-up banners, window frosting, contra-vision and illuminated units. If a job was originally supplied by us, we can usually work out the best fix from the first call.
We also assist with removals where a sign must come down before a replacement goes up. For shopfronts, vehicles and indoor display pieces, timing matters, so we plan the visit around your trading hours and access needs. If the site has municipal rules, body corporate limits or landlord conditions, tell us upfront so we can plan properly.
- Repairs to damaged panels and frames
- Refurbishment of ageing signs and shopfront graphics
- Reinstalls after renovations or tenant changes
- Safe removals before new work is fitted
How to help us resolve the issue faster
Clear details help us get the right person to the right site. Photos, dimensions and a short note on what changed will often save a day of back and forth. If the fault only shows after dark, say so and we can plan a visit at the right time, especially for illuminated work.
Where possible, keep the area accessible for our team and let us know if there are security controls, boom gates or restricted trading hours. That applies whether the site is in Durban North, Westville, Phoenix or up the North Coast. A little preparation makes the repair smoother and keeps the job moving.
- Send photos from a distance and close up
- Note if ladders, power isolation or after-hours access are needed
- Tell us if the issue is urgent because of a launch or inspection
- Use the enquiry form only, so the request is logged correctly
